While installing my steering stabilizer I noticed that I rotate the outer tie rod on its spindle. I can rotate it back and forth as far as the outer joint will let it. I have had a nice pop happening when I turn sharply or hit a bump hard.

Is the outer tie rod supposed to move on its joint like that? Would this possibly be an inner tie rod issue?

Popping when you turn or hit a bump is more than likely your stabilizer end links.
