Adding Rear Parking Sensors to 2007 F150
My 2007 did not come with rear backup parking sensors. I would like to add them and replace the bumper with one that has holes in it for the sensors (bumper is damaged and needs replaced anyways).
Is it possible to add factory backup sensors + the harness + everything else into my truck?
What are all the parts needed for this? I assume its just sensors, harness and then some sort of device that it hooks up to in the cabin that gives off signals and that activates only when the truck is in reverse?
Does anyone have specific part numbers for everything? Also any installation instructions so I know what i'm getting into?

May be easier to do and you'll have better functionality to just add a backup camera. That's what I did.

The sensors and bumper would be easy. The wiring harness is probably already in there. The real problem is the controller, I'm not sure which module controls those sensors, BCM maybe? Whichever one controls them it is also already probably in your truck but you would have to activate them in that module which I don't think can be done with ForScan, might have to have a dealership do that if they will or not is another question.
