Default Throttle body cleaning(Before and After)

Truck is currently idling for 25 minutes to relearn throttle cold to hot then I'll be taking her for a nice, smooth ride around the neighborhood for 30 minutes then I'll hit the highway and do some cruise control driving. Will report back if i notice any changes.

Thanks everyone

Why are you going to drive 30 minutes in the neighborhood, and why on cruise control on the highway?
Is that the reprogramming procedure?

Fordtechmakuloko says to drive around for a bit after letting the truck get up to operating temperature so normal driving routines are learned again plus was super nice out today so why not cruise around a bit lol.

When I used to have my 2008 I cleaned the TB every so often. Never did any of that. Seems like a lot of time and fuel spent that won’t really make a whole lot of difference as you’ll eventually do that similar driving regardless.

How many miles on that throttle body? I cleaned mine at 125k and it was close to the after pictures.

I did that same a while back to correct for rough idle when stopped or backing up without touching the gas. The idle smoothed out right at 500 without dropping below like before.

Not sure as purchased the truck 2 weeks ago(438,000kms). Transmission is from a 2005 and swapped 10,000km ago and engine is original, but has had everything swapped out for OEM parts over the years so she runs real nice. Hubs, rotors, pads, shocks, coil overs, all sensors, solenoids, phasers+timing, plugs and more is all fairly new or just put on/in.

Like I said it was super nice out today so I ran a few errands in the truck afterwards so it was a two birds one shotgun kinda situation lol. And fordtech Youtube guy is probably one of the most experienced guys on Earth regarding the 5.4 3v so I feel pretty confidant following his advice/protocols.

Cheers brotha
