Aftermarket Alarms and Remote Start
Looking into getting another Aftermarket alarm and remote start again. I previously had a Viper 2-Way, never had any issues or problems with it. Had about .5-1 mile of range. It's been a while since I Did my homework on alarms, however now I'm hearing Compustar is better now. What systems are you guys running and any complaints? Definitely have to have remote start, 2-Way remote with LCD display (or Led)

I have a CompuStar and it's pretty great. Most DE brands are good too. I only opted for the Compustar because it had all the things I was wanting and it was a too-good-to-pass-up Christmas sale from a local shop.
I have a CS4102 kit. https://www.compustar.com/remote-start/cs4102-s-kit/

I love having the display just to visually verify what I clicked on the remote happened. And my local audio shop sells compustar and I am a very frequent customer so I can get a good price on it. This is the one that has matched all my wants https://www.compustar.com/remote-start-security/pro-t11

If you're going to put a bunch of money into it with the kit you linked, are you also going to wire up a couple aux functions to use on it?

That looks good. The one I linked has a two way remote and gives a visual indicator alongside an audio one when you do something with it.

It really isn't a lot. Like I said I frequent the shop I go to,I got priced $550 otd installed with tax. As for the aux options, I really have no clue what I want to do with those. Maybe something where remote start or unlock turns my parking lights and tail lights on but once a door is opened they turn off. Any ideas you have for that function I'm all ears haha
I meant more along the lines of you have two aux outs, one could roll down your window(s) while the other could activate heated seats or something similar.

What you just described is normal functionality of the Compustar remote starters. The parking lights will turn on until you get in and put your key in the ignition and hit the brake. If you unlock, all the lights like a normal unlock should come on.

I went with the basic "dumb" remote, I hate huge fobs and really, just honestly do not need the bells and whistles. This alarm will support an LCD remote and a lot of what the compustar can offer. Last time I looked at compustar, it is impressive and very modular to make add-ons and installs very painless, including even using your cell phone for remote start.
I just wanted simple, function, and low price.
