Default Those with locking gas doors...

To those that have locking gas doors please post a picture of it open and how to install it. I can't find anywhere how to install them and I like to know what I'm doing before I buy anything. Thanks in advance.

BTW, this is what I'm looking at getting

I want to replace it because its rusting around the plastic inner piece and was wondering if the replacement locking ones would help by eliminating the inner plastic piece and how it bolts up. Thanks though I did look at those also

I would recommend the locking cap as well for practical purposes ... But I like the look of the billet covers mine is just plastic-dipped

I have one made by Bully. Its a locking one and I love it. I mean if someone really wanted to screw with your tank all they have to do is reach around the back and rip out the locking mechanism but it would take some knowledge of this plus a few minutes.

They arent that hard to install. You put the locking mechanism on the right side of the gas opening and reach under to the back to secure it with a screw. I could probably get some better close-up pictures in the morning for you but its dark here and I am at work.

Nope, the door just replaces the stock door you have now and then you just install this little locking mechanism on the side. You dont have to take anything out or remove anything other than the stock fuel door.

If you're thinking of preventing theft, the filler necks are pretty much siphon proofed. Gas thieves now just drill holes in our plastic tanks.
