First pic is a year old and I still today have the same Recon White lightning bar. None of the LEDs are burnt out. Ive had 2 others in the past that burnt out or malfunctioned some time after installation. I feel like someimes it all depends on what one you get which on whether it will work or not.
The one with amber scanning turn signals requires a splice into a hot 12v source at all times in addition to the 4-pin connector and the reverse white wire.

For mine I spliced it in to the back for my trailer 4 pin so that it keeps it free. Might not seem like a big deal to plug and unplug. But I never need to think about it now.

Yep...most of the bars come with the 4-pin connector.

When I put mine on I actually had to notch part of the plastic surround out of the light bar with a razor knife. Mine was only a $35 bar though, I'd be hesitated to do it on a more expensive one

I have the hole and bumped out area on that area where the light mounts also, but I don't actually have the tailgate bar there, so my LED bar just bumps out on that area. You cant even tell from the back. The only way you can tell is if the tailgates down and you are looking straight down at it.
