tensioner pulley or whole assembly ?
Truck doing the whining when i give it gas. Replaced the idler pulley and its still there. Planned on doing the tension pulley next. Is it ok just to do the pulley and not the whole assembly?

Does it sound like its coming from the tensioner? You won't be able to get just the bearing/pulley for the tensioner, its one piece sold as one. The person earlier said they did it separately, then how so? Through Ford? I've never been able to replace parts separately for tensioners over the years of wrenching, so this is weird which is why I'm asking or I'm reading it wrong?

I sell belt tensioner pulleys all day long. Some you can replace and some you can't. I always recommend a full change anyways If the bearings are bad the tension is sure to follow

It is not one piece, I replaced both idler pulleys and the belt tensioner pulley all at once. The belt tensioner pulley assembly unbolts with a few bolts and then the pulley is just bolted to that. I bought just the tensioner pulley from NAPA for around $20 and replaced just the pulley, not the whole assembly. Here's the part# from NAPA. http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...006_0271262211
