Found this post with the search. I bought the blend door actuator and replaced my 2008 stx and it worked great. The only bad part was uninstalling and reinstalling. Got some bloody hands and threw my back out a little took about 2 hours and I lost a small flashlight in my dash, hope it doesn't rattle. Other than that works perfectly.

I think I also have this problem, as it clicks, and has air flow issues.

Can someone post a picture of the actuator and specify where it is?

Note my blend door will get stuck you can hear the actuator grind like the gear is spinning and slipping I have the auto climate control and when you finnaly get it on ac leave it if you switch it back to heat it will open the blend door sometimes the door will be open half way and the air will be semi cold and you can hear it grind until it finnaly gets the right position I have had it fixed since then but that was my symptoms It was bad for 2 years I just had to keep turning the temp up then down up then down until it finnaly worked you could hear it very well

I have the auto dual zone climate control as well. I have the clicking behind the radio and difficulty getting cold air upon startup. Do the dual zone applications have two temperature blend doors? Do you know what part number is correct for this application? I've been searching and can't find a good answer. Is the part called a Temperature Blend Door Actuator?

Had this issue on my wife's 2010 expedition a few months ago, it was the blend door actuator that was clicking, took out the radio and had access to the actuator right there, remove the plug connection and two 10mm bolts and changed it out. Advance gave me the wrong one, had to take the old one in for comparison, good thing it was easy to get to, took about 10 minutes to change it out, but the bolt on the back was kinda a pain to get to. Good luck.

So it sounds like I'm having similar issues to everyone on here. Air blows cold and then it seems like its the same temp between 75 and 90 degrees. Also not much air comes out of the bottom.
Only difference is, when I start my truck there is a squeeking/rubbing rubbing noise that comes from behind the steering wheel. Any correlation or is this a different issue?

You may have two problems. The temp blend door actuator and the very common foam stuck in the vent selector door. https://www.f150forum.com/f4/stuck-v...-guide-277402/
