your truck is 11 years old, well past warranty and modified. your beef is with Tasca who agreed to fix your truck, not Ford Motor Company. unless Ford made you some guarantee they would fix your truck that we dont know about, this isnt on them.

Not really modified. It is a Roush and has the mods of a stage 3 Roush with a slightly higher pullley that's it
When does Ford not support there customers? 5yrs? 6,7,8,10? Or is it 11 at that point they say it is too old.
Really?

I know they definitely won't do anything for free after 5 years / 60k miles.

I'm torn on the subject. The fact is the truck doesn't run, if you let a Ford dealer diagnose the truck as needing a PCM and it cost 1,300 bucks. And you say okay if that's what it takes then so be it. Sounds like you've been strung along far enough and been patient. Now IF that new Ford PCM doesn't fix the issue I think you wouldn't be obligated to pay for it.

I think you're fighting a couple issues. A dealer who doesn't want to be involved anymore, and a truck that not many mechanics want to be involved with because it's not a "normal" F150.

I feel bad for you, at 40k she's probably a beautiful truck, and she's been sitting cause nobody can figure this out. But I don't think Ford needs to step in here and correct the issue, if my PCM went out they wouldn't extend their arms to me. Good luck with the truck though

And a built bottom end. This should not matter...

So let me summarize:
  • This is a stock roush truck, it shipped with the blower on it.
  • The motor horked at 40k due to a stuck injector.
  • The rod was banging inside of the block and shop said you needed a new blower and motor
  • The engine was replaced and it ran????
  • ??????

I've seen so many bits and pieces spread all over in all these threads, just trying to figure out what the truck is/was when new and what it is now, and what all mods took place with a timeline and when it stopped working.

Now, once the blower went on, Ford stepped out, Roush handles the warranty from there from what I understood of their "warranty". When installed my a professional they would take over the factory warranty.

Scobar,
You nailed it!!

So let me summarize:
This is a stock roush truck, it shipped with the blower on it.
The motor horked at 40k due to a stuck injector.
The rod was banging inside of the block and another Ford dealer said you needed a new blower and motor
The engine was replaced and it ran???? Yes right away and very wellNo blower issue at all.
I then went home and a few weeks later tried to start it and it wouldn't start. I tried a FP, FPMU, FPR etc etc. Dead dead dead. i asked Tasca after my first mechanic (who also swore I CAN DO IT!!!) failed. Now Tasca gave up and it is up to me. I pleaded with Ford b/c I don't think it should of hydrolockes. I don't think their dealer shouls say yes make me tow it across state lines (60 plus miles) and then change their mind. I did not get any help. THAT is what turned me off to Ford.

I agree, go to Roush and see if they can help since it is "one of their trucks", Yeah, its bad the dealer lead you on about fixing it-but it's time to move on and get the truck running again. Crap happens and life is not fair-you just have to pick up the pieces and go on another avenue to get results. I'm not sure GM or Fiat-Chrysler would be any different if it was one of theirs.
