If you feel the general or the chizler corp would be any different with a 40,000 mile built and modified by a third party then by all means run right over and drop your coins.
As for Tasca they said it all in one sentence They would not feel comfortable tuning and dyno pulling an engine built by an unknown 3rd party. Neither would I.

I just asked them for a possible dynotune. If you took the time to read the emails then you would see I really just wanted them to get it running!
My wife is on her second Duramax diesel. The first one ran perfect but we traded it in at 80,000 to upgrade to an LTZ. The thing gets 18 mpg and is a 2012 with 160,000 on it. I haven't done anything on it all! It has the original brakes! My dad has a Silverado 1500 with a 350. He gave it to me at 200,000. I am a ford guy but I accepted it. I drove it for another 129,000 then the motor died. So although I would consider buying another Ford I will not now. My wife likes the Duramax b/c they are quite.
Tasca should of fixed the truck. Ford should of done a recall on the faulty injectors. This is bad business no matter what.

I should also point out I had the truck towed from ma to Tasca After I spoke with Dennis and he gave me a guarantee he would fix it. He did say it would take a while but he never told me it would be months! Also the engine is built but not really modified. It is a stock supercharger with stock heads! The pistons rods and fasteners are upgraded. It also has headers. There are quite a few people out there that do dynotunes who have not built the engine. I would go as far s to say that that is the norm

GM should've issued a recall for an ignition module that caused deaths. (considering they knew about it).
Point is, FORD isn't to blame here. I can't speak for TASCA, but I understand why Ford won't touch it. Tasca shouldn't have given you the guarantee to fix it, if they were just going to back-peddle. They should've at least been honest and flat out tell you that they don't know how to get your truck started.

Why bash Ford? You modded an engine and now cant get it running......TASCA didn't charge you anything, which is good, since they didnt fix it. Find another shop.

Also may be good to just have 1 thread on your issue. You now have 3 threads all about the same issues.

I didn't know about GM ignition module that is horrible as well. I'm gonna stick to old stuff. I like carburetors! They were simple.

I thought ford would help me get Tasca to fix it. They sell these Roush's which have known issues and won't help! I know another guy with a Roush that just lost his motor secondary to a coolant leak in the manifold. The IC'ed SC'ed truck have the IC under the blower so if they leak it pours into the engine. Hydro-lock...
I like my old stuff. If I get another truck it will one with a carb. The wife can get the new Duramax's I will by old stuff I can fix! Who knows if I ever get this running maybe it will last. It is a pretty truck.............

Because corporate wouldn't help. When the engine first died I took it to another ford dealer they told me I needed a blower and an engine. I thought the guy was a moron so I took the engine out and took it apart the rods was bent. The know was not the blower but the rod hitting the inside of the block. You guy keep saying I modded the engine. It is a Roush truck. The only thing I did was add the intake manifold and headers. It should run with a Roush tune! It is not that modded. It has a slightly higher pulley on it that's it. I used quality internals that;s all. Ford should back up there customers. In my line of work I stand behind what I do. Ford said that they cannot force a dealer to fix there cars and mine is old. It has 40,000 on it. Shouldn't I be pissed?

As far as the threads point taken I will not start anymore.
I thought they were different enough topics

Then you go on to say:

"I can tell you that that motor is built by one of the best guys in central MA http://www.pkmachinehp.com/Pics5.html and Snay’s automotive. The internals include CP pistons, H-beam rods ARP studs throughout the bottom end and heads. Line bored plate honed etc etc. The tranny was built as well."

Sounds modded and built to me. Anyway, you should be pissed at Ford service, but at the brand as a whole? Come on now. Why not contact Roush and see who they recommend near you that can help fix it.

Ford isn't going to help you out on an 11 year old truck, they just aren't. neither would GM, Chrysler, Toyota or anybody else. i understand your frustration, but your beef aint with Ford.

Summers,
I have plenty of cars to drive. This was my daily driver. I was careful not to change things like cams etc that could affect the running of the engine. I wanted it to run with the roush tune. I know a guy who worked with Roush on tuning these trucks. He is helping with the tune but it should run with the Roush basetune. It did when I first installed the engine but as I said died afterwards. Anyway, I guess I am done with new (newer) trucks. I just don't trust the dealers. I like the reliability of the Duramax diesels. It is a bad *** truck. I don't have to do a thing to em. That said I guess if I get good at 5.4's I wmay buy another 5.4....

Screw you,
I don't want to buy a new vehicle that I can't fix. I guess I thought the truck was in such good shape 11 y/o or not. I thought FORD should fix it. So dealers stop working on cars after a certain amount of time and don't have too?
