I'm taking the truck to the exhaust shop today, but i'm debating on how i wanna get it done, should i get the single in dual out or just dual it all the way?

imo i would just get a good catback si/do exhaust. while true duals sound mean, unless done right with an x pipe and what not you will actually loose in power just adding a high flow si/do muffler is a big advantage over stock!! i have true duals on my 89 f150 and i really thought it lost abit of lowend in the end

Depends on where you are going to split it. If you run true duals, make sure you have an X pipe up front. It will probably be easier to run a si/do through the muffler.

Do you have any pics underneath? If the started after the y-pipe, then it isn't a true dual. Maybe a semi-dual?
