Question Tail lights, tail lights, and more tail lights

so im wanting to black out my truck. Im getting black rims and new tires this weekend. im also looking at blacking out my tail lights. would these be crap or worth the buy?

Those seem cheap... Granted the MS6 was a little different, but I recall the LED tails people were buying were close to $500+

Also, why not take the tail lights off and spend a day tinting them?
(I know, crummy picture, I'll get better ones later)

a can of vht niteshades is a hell of a lot cheaper then buying all new taillights.

the only problem with tinting them is just they always look like a chocolate-cherry to me and its just not what im looking for! plus i dont know how to do it

Don't forget the clear coat

Honestly though, the lights are supposed to be red. So you might get some crap for even tinting them. Honestly, if you take your time and go slow and have 3 even coats (the most VHT says you should put down) it will be DARK.

Let me get a day shot of mine for you to compare with.

yep, they turn black not dark cherry.

and seriously, painting them is so easy, i really don't think you could screw it up. my 3 yr old could do it. lol

$12 beats $200 anyday. and if you do screw em up what do you have to lose, your planning on getting new ones anyways. lol
