Like the subject says, I want to put a VIN 5 (non-flex) engine into a VIN V (flex fuel) chassis. I'm not sure I can get the ECM from the donor vehicle. Does anyone know what grief I may face, if any, using my VIN V ECM to run a VIN 5 engine? I guess my specific question is "Does my flex PCM look for any specific sensors that don't exist on the non-flex engine?" I can find a boatload of VIN 5 engines but not a VIN V engine. So I'm wondering if it even matters.
