Last Two: Duratrac's or ST Maxx's?
I've finally narrowed down to my last two, both same size, 275/70/18, both blackwall (only available), and very similar reviews on here and other places online, tread patterns, etc.
Does anyone have any advice that would help me go one way or the other? Snow and ice is a big deciding factor if anyone has experience in that, but any comments are welcome, and pictures of course!!
Thanks!

I've got the 275/70r18 Duratrac's on my 04 FX4 and love them. They perform excellent on the snow and ice. They are awesome for running across our Minnesota lakes in the winter for ice fishing. They clear mud really well also, I have yet to get stuck with them (not for lack of trying). Wear is also good, after 10,000 miles I've worn 2/32nd's. Tires are whisper quiet.
I was also torn between these two tires when I was deciding. I had read reviews of people having issues with sidewalls on the ST Maxx's so I went with the Goodies

Alright I finally decided to go with the Duratracs, I will keep updates coming as I get them on, if anyone is looking, discount had them for $1050 which was $300-400 cheaper than any shop here. Thanks for the advice!

I have the duratracs and absolutely love them as will you. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and our winters are harsh as hell. These tires get around better in 2x4 better than most others in 4x4. Amazing in mud, ice and snow. 70,000km is the average life of them I believe but I'll buy these tires till the day I die

Got my truck with 90,000 on it and it now has almost 105,000 (bought it with Duratracs already on it). Have been through two winters with them and am impressed. Most snow days i wouldn't even need 4wd. It drove fine in 2wd. I mainly only switched when i was going through non-plowed (known) areas : )
I will be purchasing a new set later this summer as they're getting pretty worn. I don't know when they were installed but the manufactured date says 2009...
