definately get custom tunes, php, vmp, and troyer are all reputable tuners and will set you up right

with the cai people say theres a risk of running lean unless you get custom tunes. you can get a gryphon from power hungry performance, a sct x3, sct livewire, or sct xcal and you can get those tuned at several different places such as vmp, troyer, or php.

Superchips is supposedly adding support for various CAIs on the 3V V8s as they build support files, and a registered owner can access these via the company's web updater utlity.

No clue if they charge anything for this service, or how many ROM updates they'll do for a registered user before they start charging for each change. I might call to find out myself, since I'll be in the market for a programmer after the new year!
