Correct what I should have said is that the Supercharger KITS for the 4.6 mustang dont fit the 4.6 in the F150 due to some type of intake manifold fitment issue.

No a supercharger is not a supercharger. And no they won't work for any motor. Superchargers have varying displacments, snout lengths, bolt patterns, offsets, discharge and inlet set ups. For example the Mustang positive displacment blowers have a long snout and are postioned farther to the rear then the trucks fire wall will allow. The intake is setup on the passenger side and uses an oval shaped throttle body. The truck needs a driverside intake and a round throttle body. The Mustang sc is not designed in anyway shape or form to work on the trucks and hence the reason it will not. Otherwise someone would have built and intake and marketed a sc for the 4.6l trucks.

I have been toying with the idea of a supercharger on my truck.. I thought about building a turbo kit for the truck (I built part of mine for my '89 Mustang, T76), but I think I want to go a bit more simpler for my daily.
What PSI are you guys seeing as safe with a stock motor and what are you using for tuning?
Thanks!

Yep...I've been reading up on his truck.. I was just curious if most are using a "mail" tune or actually having it tuned in person. I have done some tuning on my own (MegaSquirtII, on my Mustang). I really just want a safe tune, nothing to tempt me with multiple tunes..lol.

Troyer or JDM will do mail order tunes for the sc trucks as long as it's not to radical. They both have a ton of tunning experince with the trucks. Multiple tunes can be very helpful. A summer, winter, and towing. Or mine I have summmer, winter, and drag racing.
The motor/trans will tolerate 12psi as a general rule. Requires a very competent tuner. The fuel system will manage 10psi but it's hard on the pump so look at a boost a pump. I also recommend going straight to 9-10psi. Spending the money on tunning for 8psi is a waste as you will want 10psi within about 5 mins.
