Default Sub turns off when driving

I installed a ten inch sub in my 2005 supercrew i used the stock deck with the rca converter and the sub sounds great until i put the truck in drive and hit the gas then it turns off but only the sub the amp stays on and when the truck comes to a complete stop the sub turns back on. Could any body tell me why this happens or how to fix it?

What are you saying? If it's the sub or even the amp that's cutting out it may be from a loose wire.

I under stand what you are saying but it isn't a loose wire i am saying that the sub works and sounds awsome as long as you are at a dead stop but as soon as you start moving i mean even moving so slow that the speeedometer is not regestering the sub turns off but the amp still has power.

Your amp should be turned on an off by the radio 12v per-out it should be a blue wire on the radio. The power wire is another wire that comes from the battery, much heavier. Are you sure you have a constance voltage from both at all times?

Just a question cause I'm not sure if this is right or not. Is the amp suppose to have 14.4V when running? I ask because I heard that before when I was building my stereo in my car back in High school. It probably has nothing to do with it but I was just thing about it.
I don't know what else to say to help except to ask where did you buy it?

No you dont have to have 14.4V the average alteator only puts out 13.6V

Glad to here you got it. What did you hook it up to and what was the wire color?
