can a 2004 flare side bed bolt on to a 2006 style side?
any other parts i might need?
what issues might i run into?

Mine is red. But It's beat up. And I found a 2004 or 2005 flares ide color red for a steal.
I'm worried that something not bolt up like the fuel pipe

Don't see why it wouldn't.
Fuel filler tube and maybe the bumper.
I'm sure someone has done this and will chime in.

I haven't done this nor have I read somewhere of someone doing this. However I do know that the front and rear bumper brackets are different on the 04-05 & 06-08 trucks.... Now I'm not saying that the bed won't bolt up because I honestly don't know; I'm just saying there are a couple known differences. Maybe call Ford and see if they have any idea?
