Default Stuck on vents

Since one side is sticky, where ever it decides to lodge itself, it stays there.

The only thing different I had to do was to cut an access hole in the front of the hvac cover. I removed the two white plastic pins holding it in place, but I just couldn't wiggle it out.

Either way, I only had panel vents and now they all work.

Either way, thanks for posting this. I know some have had to have the whole dash removed by the dealer and spent a ton of money.

This fix was free and took 45 mins tops. Had I just cut the hole in the hvac cover first, I probably would have saved time. But I did want to abound that if possible. I'm not sure how you managed to wiggle that cover out! Haha.

My least favorite part was laying on my back removing that white pin on the drivers side.

Well bad news for me. Foam is in good shape but doors don't move no actuator seems toast... should have bought the actuators first I'm thinking now. Oh well will be calling ford for parts tomorrow.

On a side note don't waste time prying those two plastic body connectors take a knife and cut them after you stop at a store and pick up a couple or a variety pack for 3.49. Not worth the time to try and pry them out unles you have a specialty tool . Which is probably 10 times more than those two clips

Always check if the actuators are functioning first. Pop the arm off and switch between functions and watch for movement.
If you find no movement, step 2 is check for power.

Side note- pull the cover from the left side as your grabbing it. It will with a lotta wiggling come out.

I did run my heat for a bit to warm things up for me and the plastic to be more flexible.

*edited for easier reading egawds I butchered that post*
