Default straight pipes?

I currently have an H pipe with glasspacks and I want it to be louder, I am thinking about geting the glasspacks taken out so its just straight pipes. My gas millage is what I am concerned about anyone know how many miles to the gallon I will lose?

My truck is set up this way... 5.4L 4.10's 275/70/18's(winter tires)

Gotts modd, removed factory muffler welded in chunk of pipe.....

I have a edge tuner, that I have changed a lot of settings on....... still need to get it converted to a gryphon...

I'm getting 13 city 17-20 highway......

I love the sound of my truck... but most don't because it "drones"

You'll probably lose a little at first just because you'll be romping on it to hear the sound. There is no negative effects from running pipe instead of mufflers.

You could wash out the glasspacks. Then you have straight pipe and can still be legal. Plus, this way is free

we had a little trick to make the glass packs break up and make them sound louder.....get up under there with a torch and heat the glasspack itself.....not burn it....and then douse it with really cold water. we would take a plastic Kool-aid pitcher(were from the hometown of kool-aid) and fill it with water with ice and heat and cool it about 5 times and it would make a really big difference....not performance based but it would cause the sounds to be louder

just drive aggressively until the engine is warmed up. Rev it a few times to be sure, then toss the hose in. It's worked before on my buddies truck
