i wouldnt recommend it. in california they have those cats on there for a reason. its total bs i know but if you get pulled over and a cop sees that you have no cats he will send you to a ref and thats even more of a headache than you want.

whats the odds of a cop actually getting down to check under my truck for the cats? or should i not risk it
whats a reasonable solution for power and a deep sound? i want to run straight pipes but if im sacrificing low end torque or power anywhere in the band id consider the flowmaster muffler

You can put cats on with headers. O2 sensors located in some headers. Do some research. Will you throw codes? Call the header companies. Tell them your concerns. A search will help.

Sorry, not so anyone feels like I am going off on them but how many times a day/week are there threads about my truck is too quiet, what muffler, no muffler, so forth and so on. Go on youtube and listen to some trucks...SEARCH by vehicle........Sticky about exhaust is at the top of the forum.

I only have cats and I honestly don't know the mpg difference bc it was like that when I got the truck but I love it! I wouldn't care if it did hurt my mpg or torque honestly bc it sounds so good. This is the closest sound to mine that I can find on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=f1zGUdRNxmo
