Default Stock 18 inch Fx4 rim question

I'm really curious what the widest tires as well as the biggest tires are that I can run on my stock 2004 Fx4 18 inch wheels with a 2.5 inch leveling kit, I don't mind a little rubbing or even a little trimming; thanks for the input guys.

They will work fine if the rim is 9" wide. I dont remember what the stock 18's are though. I know the stock 20's are 8.5" and can accomodate the 35x12.5 tire but it isnt ideal.

Worse comes to worst...you can get a 295/65/20 or a 285/65/20 and that will keep the width down to lower than 12" but yet still give you the height that you want.

My 37's are 12.5" but are on a 18x9 wheel. Plus I think BFG overstated the width. These dont appear to be 12.5" wide...but thats besides the point.

Apparently according to the tire/wheel thread on top of the forum, the stock 17" and 18" wheels are 7.5" wide...Thats kinda pushing it putting a 12.5" tire on there but I believe people have done it. If I were you I would look at a 34-34.5" tire MAX that way you dont have any rubbing issues. I ran a 35.1" x 11.6" on my stock 20's and they rubbed pretty bad at about 75% turning forward and about 50% turning in reverse. Just my opinion obviously.
