I'm new to the site and looking forward to doing alot of research for my '08 model. It has the standard AM-FM radio. I was thinking of replacing it with OEM AM-FM/CD unit. Is it a plug & play swap out? What part # info on unit's decal is key in knowing it would fit in my truck?

 

The CD Head Units were available with an Audiophile option which included a subwoofer and components. From what I've read, the highs are crossed over, so you don't want it without a sub. You can tell which are audiophile units by the fact that they have receivers for three different connectors (plus the antenna) on the back.

Do you have the dash line in? The 07-08 models will allow for the dash tray mounted line in, 04-06 do not.

They changed the antenna connector at some point, so you may need the adapter for some models.
