Stereo draining battery?
Hey guys, I recently bought an 05 lariat and when i got it there were a few cds jammed in the head unit, everytime i'd open the door to the truck, even without the key in the cd changer would start whirring and making weird clicking noises. Whenever I used my remote lock or start it'd take awhile and the horn would be pretty weak if i pressed the alarm button.
I removed the head unit and got all the jammed cds out, when i put the head unit back in, it still reacted whenever i opened the door, even without the key in and i think that's what is draining the battery, i really noticed when i used my remote lock and it had such a weak signal this time as if it were dying out.
Anyone have a fix to this problem? It's a 2005 lariat 4x4 w/ 5.4
Thanks!

The factory stereos in our trucks come on as soon as you turn the key to on. They will stay on after removing the key for a few minutes. Will go off as soon as you lock the doors with the fob...like the interior lights.
If those things aren't happening, then the relay in the head unit is toast and you need a new stereo.
I suspect it was abused since you had a bunch of CDs "jammed" in it.
