So I tried to take off the tires to see if the shaking stopped when in drive and with no tires on, but the ****ing idiots who balanced my tires put OVER 250 ft.lbs of torque onto my rear and front passenger side wheels My dad called them this morning, and someone is going to lose their job. There should only be 120 ft.lbs of torque on these tires (or 150, can`t remember right now), so needless to say I was less than impressed. So now, not only do I have to worry about why my truck is shaking like crazy, I also have to worry about whether or not they f***ed my rims up, as well as the wheel studs. But, back to the point, still not sure why its shaking. Its getting taken back to the shop and they are going to re-balance the tires, and check to see if they screwed anything up on my rims. Hopefully it fixes something...
when I removed my wheels to replace them with an upgrade, I had to pry the lugs off (all 24) with a breaker bar and a pipe. It's ridiculous what some people do if you don't watch them - one of the reasons I do all I can on my own...

just bought a 2005 f150 last month. first day i got it the steering wheel was shaking badly when i hit about 65 mph. turns out the front brake caliper was sticking and the rotor was destroyed. next time you drive, when you stop feel the area near the rims. if they are abnormally hot then thats most likely your problem

Had the same problem on mine. Problem was tire separation in the front passenger one.

Replace one of your front tire with the spare and drive around (once you can get the wheel off...) for a while. If it's still happening switch the other front tire.

My tire was separating after only 35 000 kms. Crappy Hancooks.

The truck is good now When they balanced it the first time a weight must have fallen off or they did it wrong. But it drives without a shake now. Thanks all for the ideas.

I just rebalanced my tires and have a slight vibration around 70mph. Then today, on the highway above 60 started shaking like crazy. Got out and could smell hot brakes. Front left caliper is locking up or not moving free. So I think I have two issues but will reslove the caliper first. So I second the caliper shaking at speed, no brake applied but gets better under slower speeds. The calipers are pretty rusty and truck has 135K. The heat is what is giving it away. It could be a wheel bearing but pretty sure due to the heat, it is a caliper.
