Default edge evolution

Hey guys I have an edge programmer and the question i have for you guys is this, If you floor it around 65-70 the truck takes off nice but when it shifts wide open throttle into 3rd there is a squeaking noise. I had this same noise on my 2005 crew cab with the 4.6 and the same on my 2006 crew cab with 5.4. I am pretty sure it is just the belt slipping as my edge is set on level 3 and my shifts are very firm. What i want to know is there a way to eliminate it?

I get this w/ my truck as it is going 2-3, usually at like "70-80" at the last second before it shifts. I don't WOT it that much to stress it.

You could try and get a gatorback belt and see if it helps.

How long does the squeal last? Is it just a chirp or longer? Not trying to be a jerk, but I assume you checked the belt already, so, I think I'd try a little belt dressing if it's just a short chirp. Might do the trick and the modern stuff isn't sticky like the old stuff was.

Mine never did it before, but ever since I put on e-fans on it always chirps when it shifts into third at WOT too. I have the gryphon, but its basically the same thing. I dont think its really a big deal it only does it on wot i try not to make it habit of getting on it too much.

mine is like a .01sec. Real fast almost like it a turbo bearing sound for that split second.

I'm about to get a Gryphon for my truck, I'll have to make sure I test for the squeal. It's happening with the canned level 3 tune right?
