hey ive got a 2005 f150 supercrew lifted. my steeringwheel clacks back and forth when im driving. Does anyone know what that is?

ive been try to figure out the same thing. its very prevalent when going over a rough RR crossing or when im off road. pretty much whenever the left front wheel (in my case) is traveling vertically.

im sure itd be pretty obvious if an inspection of my front end and the OP's was performed.

Pull your tires off and do some inspection of ball joints and linkages. My little brother had that happen to his '97 5.4. He pulled the front wheels off last week and found a broken sway-bar linkage.
