Starter and other electrical issues
I have a 2004 F-150 Heritage. I noticed recently that the starter will sporadically try to engage while the truck is idling or in neutral but stops once shifted to drive or reverse. I have also noticed that there seems to be a continual power supply to the radio, heater/ac (maybe just the blower/fan), etc. Additionally, I have an issue with water getting into the cab. After it rains, I notice water in the driver's side floor board near the kick panel directly under the dash and I have seen moisture under the dash (behind the instrument panel). I just noticed water coming from the handle on the driver's side A-pillar adjacent to the windshield. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
All symptoms of LWS (Leaky Windshield Syndrome).
Disconnect the battery. Get the fuse panel and GEM module dried out ASAP before they're permanently damaged, then get the windshield professionally sealed.
