Default Squeal in my truck at high rpm

So when ever im at wide open throttle and my truck gets to the shift point at about 5000 the trucks belt sounds like its slipping when its shifting gears. Is that the belt slipping or am i hearing something else? I do have an edge tuner on it.

its slipping. what i usually do is right as it goes to shift let off alittle. Makes it alot easier on the truck and u actually dont loose much acceleration time.

My truck did this and the dealer told me the serpentine belt was slipping and needed to be replaced. I didn't replace it and the truck works fine. Only dose it when It shifts at high rpms like you said.

Belt squeal, it's normal when shifting gears. If you want to elminate it get a Gatorback belt. Troyer Performance sells and recommends them.

Doesn't eliminate it. Well, maybe for a day or so. Got a Gatorback on mine. Belt still squeals. Even replaced the belt tensioner and idler pulley.

I would not stress it, my truck does the same thing only at WOT. Still running original belt and have been tuned for 6 years now, and have never had any other issues.
