I don't know if this sticky will help anyone who has already installed their speakers, but for those with questions this is a good resource;

The speaker makes a world of difference with the stock HU. The Infinity speakers are 2ohm to compensate for the resistance of the stock wire and they have a high sensitivity (93 I believe) so they make the most of what power they get. I got these with the notion that I would be keeping the stock HU for the foreseeable future so these things were a big deal for good sound. Adding an amp is also an option with the stock HU to supply the speakers with more power. Not saying you shouldn't replace the stock HU, but it is not necessary to provide a great sounding system.

Now if you have a 03 and older you do have to take the door off and its easy to. The control panal for windows pops up, the door sil that runs up pops off, and the door handle bracket will come apart and theres like 6 bolts the hold way around, take them all out and give it a pop on the bottom and it slides right off.
Thanks for the info, I'm looking into replacing the speakers and your instructions will definitely help. If anyone here can submit instructions on how to replace the factory head unit with something like a DVD/and or backup camera that would be appreciated. I looked on Google and searched these forums but I couldn't find anything in particular to our trucks. I know absolutely nothing about car audio stuff.

Won't be moving onto a new truck anytime soon. If I do move on I'll be trading in my Ram 1500 for a F-350 Superduty.
