That's something our government would do, or at least my state...

Default My settlement

Just got my check for $109.48. My mechanic knew about the settlement but did not jack up the price. He had the tools and is experienced w the F150 problems. He has other customers with higher mileage F150, so when my low mileage F150 breaks he has already done the same repair several times. He sez to spray the steering wheel column
Linkage with Creep the two u joints freeze up. I had a 1997 Lariat w 250,000 miles that ran like new, when in 2007 I bought this new F150 thinking it was the same high quality truck. There needs to be more lawsuits/settlements.

187 is your 50% figure - lawyers 154.8 = 32.20 bucks to you .
This is not the intent I'm sure, but the Judge is a lawyer too .
Ask for the calculations . They may admit their mistake or not .
Sorry, I've been out of the loop for a while.
Redfish, I'm not understanding all these other calculations.
This is the original letter I received:

I had the spark plugs changed on May 9, 2011. After several broken plugs the bill turned out to be slightly north of $1800.00. Just a few days ago on September 21, 2017, I received my settlement check for slightly under $800.00.
Over $1000.00 is still quite a sickening price to pay for a spark plug change, but I was happy to get something back.

Do not count on getting a large settlement as the formula used is not all that profoundly meaningful for recouping any costs. I just looked and they are still "processing" claims as of 3/30/19, no claims appear to have been paid at this point.

plenty of people have reported getting settlements and the guy you quoted hasn't been here since 2016...it appears too late for some of us to apply if it hasn't been done already...good luck with yours
