Default Spark Plug Issue

Recently I have been checking some engine noise issues, and after some great advice form you guys on this forum, I went ahead and attempted to check my Spark plugs to make sure they were torqued to spec. I actually have a few 9/16 sockets, two of which were purchased specifically for the F150 I have a 2007 4.6l model. Issue is that no matter what plug I try to spin it rolls around and doesn't seem to grab any of the plugs. I can't really tell if the plug heads are stripped, but I couldn't get any to catch on. Not sure if this is a common issues with the F150.

Try a 5/8 plug socket....I'm sure that's what I used on my older trks
Sounds like you are not on the plug hex with the 9/16 socket ??

+1 the 4.6 uses a 5/8” socket size on the spark plug.

28 ft. lbs. is considered the new spec
You will see anything from 11 to 22 and 27 in books
132 inch pounds was once the spec
Lovely
