Ford originally said to do them when the engine was hot. The is a service bulletin out for it. I've had good luck with using an impact to take the plugs out. I work at a ford dealer and have done many of them. I take all plugs out of everything with my snap on cordless impact.

Totally agree. I changed mine because I had a coil causing a misfire and figured while they were in there just go ahead and change the plugs. No need to put money into the truck when its showing no issues.

Its funny after I changed mine I've seen a reduction of half a mile in MPG. I read that this was not uncommon and returns to normal over time. I hope so!
