If you do remove the spare permanently you will expose the Fuel Module so you may want to do something to protect it from the elements.
Obvious question (but sometimes I forget to turn the gas on with my tractor): Did you check under the back seat for the jack and rods? Did you check back with the seller? I bought a used F250 and the seller swore that the factory trailer wiring harness was not on it ( I could see where it had been unplugged recently, plug was clean), luckily they were a Chevy dealer so had no use for it and when I vigorously questioned it they miraculously found it in the service department.

I like it under the bed because it's out of the way, but I still want to be able to get to it. I just can't bring myself to pay $60-80 for a jack and tools.
I have a high lift from my last vehicle but it does me no good if I can't get to the spare
