Doing a little research for my upcoming plug change. Is sp 515 the part number for motorcraft plugs for my 07 5.4l non flex fuel? Thanks.

Ok, thanks. A guy was getting rid of some new plugs, but they are sp 507. Sucks because he only wants .75 a piece.

Sorry, I'm new to the plug thing. I know what it takes to get them out, and I'm not scared about that. But after a little bit of research, i am seeing that the 515s are double plats, and the 507s are the single plats.
What's my best bet? I'm putting motorcraft back in. Not a chance of autolites, brisks, e3s, or anything else unneeded like that.

I think in 2008 or so, the SP509 was brought out for the 2008 model (which if you look at Fordparts.com you'll see 2008 F150 5.4 shows the SP507 and SP509 as fitting, the others don't), however I think later the SP515 came out to replace the SP507. I could be entirely wrong! I have to double-check when I get home but I believe I put the SP515 in my 2005 F150 and have been running them for approximately 60,000km now.

Just changed mine to SP515 runs great.

515 is what I put in both my 2005 F-150 and my wife's explorer 4.6L. That's what I'd do if I were you. Not worth trying to save a few dollars. There had to be a reason Ford made the change to the 515.

There are plenty of videos and help on the forum. Be sure to have the Lisle extraction set on hand and take notes during the videos and forum comments. Write out your plan of attack. Be patient and put the penetrating fluid in the night before on a warm or cold engine...next day loosen the plugs 1/8 turn and apply more fluid and let sit a few hours....blow out the plug holes and begin. My 2008 5.4 runs great after my plug change at 60,000 miles last fall. And if you use the anti-seize, it will make the next plug change easier. Good luck...your work will be worth it.

I forgot to say that I used the 515's too. Engine now runs like new.
