sorry to ask.....but do all level kits work on FX4's???
sorry to ask, I searched but couldnty exactly find my answer. I noticed upon reading some leveling kit descriptions that they are NOT compatible with Fx4's. Any reason why? offset design???
I also noticed that readylift 66-2052 is described as follows on there site:
Due to popular demand from dealers and customers for a proper leveling kit for the FX4 version F150 truck, ReadyLIFT has recently engineered a 1.5" leveling kit for the 2004-2012 Ford F150 2WD/4WD trucks. The ReadyLIFT 66-2052 leveling kit provides 1.5" of front leveling lift while allowing for the installation of 33" tall tires. The FX4 F150 trucks come from the factory with a smaller amount of rake. The 66-2052 kit was designed to level the FX4 trucks, but will work on all 2004-2012 F150 trucks. The 66-2052 Ford F150 leveling features a CNC machined billet aluminum construction with pressed in 10.9 grade mounting studs for a precise fit. The machined aluminum construction provides long lasting durability.
I underlined what really threw me off. My truck sits way high in the back and was kind of surprised by that statement.
I now have 33" tires on +20 wheels and was thinking of a 2-2.5" level unless there is something I'm missing.

yes thx. Just some descriptions state that they were not for the Fx4 model and I wondered why. What is the exact difference in an Fx4 to the other models? Skid plates? Are the suspension components the same?

I put a 2" level on my FX4 and it came out perfect. I really don't like the nose high look, and I really didn't like the horrible factory rake either. I wanted level or a small amount of rake. The best thing to do is park on a level surface and measure ground up to the top of fender wells in both front and back, and go from there on deciding which kit to buy.

Exactly how I feel. I will do just that.
