soon-to-be f150 owner. opinions please

long story short, i am gonna be gettin a f150 soon. i got a guy who buys for a ford dealership helpin me out. ill be going to auctions soon and biddin, so......

1)wish me luck.
2)gimme your opinions, please.

here's what i'll be dealin with: 4x4 f150. NO regular cab. preferrably a screw, but i'll settle for a supercab.

i'm wantin opinions on a few things. i want to level it out first thing, but i know little to nothing on the matter. i'm readin up on it, but i wanna ask anyhow. i see a lot of 2.5" kits. is that the norm? and is it best to buy a HBS kit off ebay for like $70?

also want a CAI. i see a lot of K&N intakes...if i get a CAI do i need a new exhaust to handle the extra air intake? or will the stock exhaust do the job?

i'll get around to maybe tinting tail lights and wheel/tire upgrades etc etc, but im just getting my feet wet with it all. thanks in advance. and as soon as i buy my f150, ill post picts and be a regular on here

Just order the HBS kit off their website. Hellbentsteel.com. Its free shipping. Go with the 2.5" steel kit, not aluminum.

Sorry dont know much about CAI's

i got a aFe stage II and love it more than any k/n ive ever had.
get a filter that is:
1)washable
2)oil free

they are eaiser to maintain and cost less in the long run.

i got my intake before my exhaust and didnt have a problem with increased air flow

Hey..I went with the CCMoffroad 2.5" leveling kit off ebay. They have a website as well ccmoffroad.com. I think I paid $69.99 shipped for it and it is one of the best leveling kits I've ever seen. It's constructed of steel and has other unique design qualities. It installed easily and my truck sits perfectly level. The Ford Dealership that installed it said it was an excellent kit after they put it in.

I also have an Airaid intake. IMO CAI's are a waste of money (unless you add up how much you will save by not replacing air filters) but I still had to have one just for the sound. Airaid and K&N are both top notch quality CAI's if that helps.
