everything is hot and has a nasty burning smell to it. The PCM is really hot and seems to be where the smell is coming from bit not sure.
Any advice please! Not sure but don't want my truck to burn down or leave me stranded

Seems kind of simple but is your cooling system working properly?

All my gauges appeared fine. Might not hurt to change my thermostat I Spose cheap enough and I can do it myself. It was about 80 degrees and I had been driving around town for about 20 min. Coolant reservoir is at the right level

What does it smell like? Plastic? Wires burning? Oil?
Alternator? Pulley?
It could be a seized brake caliper.. Heat rises, so whatever is hot could be below where you think its coming from.

Strong sharp Oder. I would say wires burning but I'll check out brakes. It doesn't pull one way or the other though

If its a frozen caliper, just feel the wheels after you drive it. One should be scorching hot if it is.
