i posted a thread on projector lights, but i found some factory smoked head/taillights that look very very good. the lenses are smoked on, which looks awesome, but concerns me about lighting. will it affect lighting a lot? or just a little? I have 4300K HID's in my truck now with silverstar turn signal bulbs. The rear taillights are all stock bulbs. So will the smoked lenses drastically cut down light output? thanks

also, some pictures of black or smoked headlights would be sweet to see. most of the ones on ebay are photoshopped

Smoked headlights seem to be a bad idea....too much loss of visual light. Even smoked fog lights make no sense to me, as they too will defeat the amount of light projected.

Sometimes the "cool" efect should take second seat over practicality.

Well if they bring my HID's back down to a factory lighting level, then why not look cool and still get good light?....

didnt cut down on my light output with HID's just make sure to aim them right and youll be good to go.

theyre ebay lights, i think headlightsdepot had them, i actually bought them from another member on this forum, but theyre from ebay.

see now to me those lenses look tinted?....

It's the dark "backround" that makes them look dark; The lenses are clear (at least the ones I've seen off of Ebay are).
