Default The skinny on chips?

Can everyone please inform me on the benefits of a chip, such as the one from G-Force that plugs into the ECU? Also, can you still use a programmer like the Edge Evo at the same time? Thanks!

You cannot use a tuner with a chip. Save your money on the chip and buy a tuner. A tuner is much more valuable tool than any chip out there. Check out any of the major mfg. of tuners, edge, grypon, sct, diablo. All are good reputable brands. IMO a tuner is the best bang for your buck. (for bolt on mods)

I installed the 91 octane performance mod from Banks. Definately noticed an increase in acceleration and passing performance, but don't expect any increase in fuel mileage. It was nice feeling the extra power, but in my opinion not worth the money especially since I didn't gain anything in fuel mileage. Not to mention I have the increased cost of fuel.

Just my opinion, I spent a crap load on a tuner and CAI with only moderate gains. Save your money for a blower haha.
