Default Silverado

I was at a light with a chevy and when it turned green it SMOKED my ***! It really sucked, 5.4s can't hang with those 6.? engines.....

I need a blower!

there's much much more to it than the displacement of the engine.......

Well it helps to know about the silverado.... It could very well be modified, have different gears than what you have, smaller tires, etc etc.


but if you want your truck to be fast.....

Yeah I have a K&N full intake, Dynatech LTs and a Magnaflow 18'' exhaust, But never did have it tuned + I had a bed full of tools and 300lbs of sand bags for traction...didn't think abt the weight in the bed before we raced.

His wheels were smaller too, which makes sense...faster off the line....I didn't keep on it past the point of a serious ticket!

The all wheel drive on the silverado SS will leave a lot of trucks tryin to play catch up I own a 03 Ford lightning and an 03 silverado SS I've done pretty much the same mods to each of the trucks and my lightning can't hang with my silverado SS

My friend that bought my 2000 silveraldo 5.3 with a tired transmission completely smoked my 06 5.4 with a cai. This ford is slow. My other friend's dodge will light the tires up if you punch it at 50 mph and he gets 20 mpg compared to my 14.

Yea I love them both my lightning is my daily driver. Had a few problems with it but running like a champ now. my lightning is is pushing about 450-500 HP with 16lbs of boost while my silverado is turbocharged with 8lbs of boost, with about 520hp.
