Default Side Mirrors Question

Hello All!

I'm looking to replace my side mirrors with towing mirrors.. wondering if anyone here can help me with up-to what year the towing mirror are compatible with my 2006 truck. should I stick only with 04-08 models? or a newer model should work too?

Thanks!

04-14 all mount the same, wiring may be different on the newer ones though.

Wiring from the 2004-2006 is the same, 07-14 utilizes different wiring. If you want the puddle lamp on the 04-06 you'll have to add power for that and of course if you go with power-fold on any and your truck did not come with that, you'll have to add quiet a few wires and a new mirror switch. If your looking on ebay for mirrors, stick with specific 04-06 mirrors unless you want to deal with swapping wires. I purchased some from ebay, very nice quality I may add, but they were for 04-14 and had an additional wire connector for each mirror for the different years...... neither of them worked for me and I didn't want to deal with the wiring unless they were willing to refund me some money back. So I sent them back.
The best advice I can give you is to pull your current mirror off and check the pin locations (take a photo). Compare that with the new mirrors description/product photo and go from there.
Something like this "should" work for your truck.

If you end up taking a photo of your current mirror connections, post it up here so others can see it for future reference. Of course, post up the photos when and if you get the new mirrors on!
