When you replaced your glass, did you see any bolts inside the mirror that could possibly be tightened to prevent the mirror from being so loose?

Silicone is amazing stuff. I've read where folks here have used it to seal the third brake light/bed light assembly (on top of the roof). Then a year or so later when the bulb burned out, they darn near rip the metal roof off trying to get it off again!

It can act like monkey snot bondo superglue if it's used immediately to fasten two pieces together, or as a great, removeable seal if you simply let it set up a few minutes first before mounting items together, such as the case when you want to use it as a waterproof seal.
