Shut off @ low RPM after unhooking/changing battery
I've done a lot of looking around, on here and the web, trying to figure out what the process is for changing out a batter/unhooking a battery, but I haven't had much luck.
Whenever I unhook my battery and then hook it back up it dies at random times, mostly at stop lights and when I am driving through a parking deck.
I know it has something to do with the truck ECM re-learing the rpm levels and so forth (what I was told by a stealership worker.) The guy told me that I would just have to drive it for about 250 miles (or more) until it re-learned what it needed, then it would stop.....I'd rather NOT drive for 250+ miles with my truck stalling at every red light.
Isn't there some sort of process to do after hooking up a battery so the truck can re-learn what it needs?
If this has been discussed here before sorry, I couldn't find it.
Thanks in advance!

i worked on a 04 jeep one time for like 4 weeks...that did this...ended up having a bad battery..it started and ran..but died all the tiem.. .and the only reason i found this out was i took the battery off and had it sitting beside the jeep while i was working on it and someone stole the battery that night..put the battery of my truck to move the jeep and it ran like new... replaced battery and never had another issue...
i hope that works for you ..sorry i had to say jeep so many times ...puke

Clean the throttle body and the intake crossover, clean the IAC. You MUST remove these units from the engine to clean. Use only approved fluids to do the cleaning. If you've never done it on this engine, you won't believe the mess. No, there are no "magic in a bottle" that will help.

thanks for the advice, and I will do that in the comming weeks because it will probably help out overall, but I don't think that is the source of the problem, being that I only have this problem once I hook up the battery and after a while it stops acting up. thanks for clarifing about the magic in a bottle, I probably would have asked.
