for 10k, you could get the engine AND transmission replaced with labor included. If the rest of the truck is cherry, it's an easy choice for me. Then again, I love my dam truck lol

If truck is solid and clean fix it. While your in the engine bay replace every hose while they are easy to get to. The 2 valve is a different animal than the 3 valve especially since there are 2 different versions of the 3 valve regarding spark plug type and phaser design.

2v and 3v are way different in cost (with the 3v being more expensive).
