Should I buy HID bulbs, or an entire assembly?
What's up y'all
I'm seriously considering buying some HIDs for my truck but I don't know if it's a better idea to buy an assembly like this:
Or should I just buy the bulbs and ballasts and put them in my current OEM housing? Are there any reasons to do it either way? What's the best way to go about this?
These are the headlights I'm looking at:

At one point I had one of the HID conversion kit in my truck and I went back to halogen. Don't waste your money unless you install a costly retrofitted HID assembly. Your headlight projection will be scattered and it's actually slightly harder to see with the cheapo conversion kit, do yourself a favor and don't make the mistake I did, go all in with the retrofit or don't at all.

I looked at the build thread on your truck. Damn. I myself am headed off to college and am gonna have to get a job to support my truck enhancing hobby. Where did you get that FORD grille overlay? That thing is two tons of badass in a half ton package!
