They are great shocks. I got rid of the stock 17" tires which came with the truck and put 18" tires on so with the added height of the 18" tires and shocks, it looks like a real truck. I'm not a grease monkey and I installed these without an issue.

My only issue is the coil springs if I just do a shock replacement

They were easy because they came with the coil springs already on. I wouldn't have attempted to change them myself if I was just replacing the shock. Because these were one piece, it was much easier.

i ordered a pair of Bilsteins 5100 for my truck just the other day, was like $185 shipped for the pair roughly. they can range between 1-2.5 in front lifts in the front i believe.

Just replaced spacers with the Rancho Quicklift. Did a lot of reading and research before deciding between these and the Bilstiens. I was a bit concerned with the statements of a stiffer ride with the Bilstiens and was not satisfied with the hard jolts over bumps and potholes with the shocks bottoming out.

So far very happy with the quicklifts. I do a lot of highway miles and dropped the setting to 3 for my last trip. Improved the right quite a bit while maintaining tight handling. I maintained the full 2" lift and truck is dead level. For me it was the right choice.

bilstein all the way. I have had these on my last 2 trucks. I love the ride quality. Its perfect for me. Both of my last 2 trucks are 2wd and stock height. I would highly recommend replacing the top strut bearing/mount while you are doing them. I think that part is maybe 40 bucks or so. It is what allows the strut to turn.
