Default Shocks

Well looks like I wore out the factory shocks at 200k miles. Need some advice on a new set on all 4 corners. I tow a 18 ft trailer everyday loaded it is about 5k pounds. Truck is 4wd and just wondering what brand y'all are using.

Both rancho quick lifts and bilstein 5100s are popular choices and they have the ability to level the front if you want that. Also the ranchos are adjustable so when your towing you can make them stiffer. Just FYI but your shocks were worn out long ago.

Yeah I knew they were gone long long ago just had more important things to fix or replace. What about anything in the rear to help keep it stable while towing. I'm now way too used to towing with a f250.

Like I said the ranchos are adjustable stiffness so you could turn them up while towing which should help. Or get some airbags.

Shocks handle bumps... Not weight... New springs, add-a-leafs, or airbags will help with handling the weight in the rear. I have firestone air bags and am very happy with them.
