shifter swap?
okay guys, some have complained about the cheap feel of the shifter in the floor on the f150's. i personally love the floor shift but i am not really crazy about the look of the shifter handle itself. I DO however like the looks of the wood handle shifter in the 2007 expedition. it looks like it should fit with maybe some minor mods.....anybody, help with this....i will swap in a heartbeat if someone can tell me it will fit...... i know there are some ford peopel and engineers that visit these forums so please help....okay?

Yeah, I did a thread asking this same question on F150online. It doesn't look like it will work. I don't know that for sure but everyone seems to doubt it will.
You know about the shift wraps Ranchitout_ED made for our trucks don't you? It a easier and probably cheaper option and it fits and looks great. It only took me a few mins. to lace it up and give a Lincoln LT look to the shifter.

i don't really like the look.....to each his own but i like the expy shifter better....i'm thinking that you could replace the whole surround around the shifter...it looks like the same dash and console with a different insert there to fit the shifter. i am an expert at making things work when i can get my hands on one to see......still, if anybody has anything on this, let me know...

I can't imagine it costing that much, you could be the first to do it because I don't think anyone has tried it yet. The LT swap required a dremel to bore the hole a little more to make it fit. Keep in mind that the wood doesn't match (if you have the wood dash on your truck). I also like the look of it and thought about it.
