Default shaking,hesitating,coil packs?

So my 05 F150s check engine light just popped on. Took it to advance where they hooked it up to a scanner. Told me I had a misfire on #2 and #7. Told me there is a chance it was coil packs. Know that is a fairly common problem. So I went ahead and bought two. Well I changed both and I believe it is running abit worse. Not only is it hesitating it not wanting to shift right. Any ideals?

How many miles do you have? When was the last plug change? What brand coil packs did you use? Little more info needed here.

Spark plugs have been changed in past 5-10k miles. I have 203k miles on it and the brand is BWD P-series.

I'd have to say plugs. What brand plugs did you put in? I have same problem and ended up changing all the plugs again along with new coil packs. Ive had bad luck with the bwd coil packs and I now have accel and have not any problems. Also I first used auto lights and then switched to motorcraft plugs. Just my .2 cents worth.

Not sure brands of plugs. My mechanic put in my spark plugs. He is a certified Ford mechanic. Runs his own shop now. Probably will take it back to him.

Was wrong on the spark plugs. Think it was around 25k miles ago I had them replaced.

I would go ahead and change them out. Seems to me thats what it is. Could try just changing the ones that you have a miss on and see if that helps. If so, then I would change all of them.

I did have one plug spitout last yr. So a Ford stealership fixed it. Not sure which spark plug it was. Wonder if it could be the problem on one of them. I also heard fuel injectors could be bad. I have a 4.6L and not a 5.4.

Took it to my mechanic and sure enough the #2 cylinder still had a misfire. Turns out when the Ford dealership put in the insert and spark plug they set it too deep. Thank the Lord my mechanic was able to rim it out and put another insert and plug in. It had burnt the electrode off the other plug.
